Veterinarian – Full-Time or Part-Time

Pets in Harmony Veterinary Hospital is a quickly growing veterinary practice in a new location in Harmony, Pennsylvania, and we’re looking for a veterinarian to join our team.

Our business hours are Monday through Friday, closed for the weekends and no on-call hours. Doctors and support staff enjoy a reasonable work-life balance.

Appointments are 30 minutes long allowing doctors the time to work up a case, develop relationships with clients, and alleviate the stress related to a high-volume quota-based business model of patient care.

While Pets in Harmony is our newest location, we are part of an established, independently owned veterinary group with roots in the community dating back to the 1940s. We currently own and operate three veterinary practices, with a new veterinary surgery center planned to open in 2027.

We offer the resources and opportunities of a growing multi-location group while maintaining the flexibility, relationships, and autonomy that come with private ownership.

Why Join Us?

  • Four-day workweek or part-time options – We believe a career in veterinary medicine should leave room for a life outside of the hospital.
  • Independently owned – No corporate ownership or corporate medicine. We own and operate three veterinary practices and are continuing to grow with no intentions of becoming corporately owned.
  • Practice medicine your way – We want our doctors to use their education, experience, and judgment to make the best decisions for their patients and clients.
  • Mentorship available – Experienced veterinarians are available for collaboration and mentorship, making this a great opportunity for both experienced doctors and newer graduates.
  • A genuinely supportive team – Our doctors, technicians, assistants, and client service team work well together, help one another, and understand that veterinary medicine is a team effort.
  • The stability of an established practice with the energy of a new one – Pets in Harmony is growing quickly, backed by decades of experience in veterinary medicine and an established client base across our practices.
  • Salary + production commission – Competitive compensation with a base salary plus commission.
  • Benefits – Medical, dental and vision insurance is available. IRA with 3% match and a generous employee discount.
  • New surgery center coming in 2027 – Our continued growth will bring even more opportunities for collaboration, advanced procedures, and professional development.

Our Culture

Work-life balance isn’t something we just put in a job ad. We want our veterinarians to enjoy coming to work, have the support they need while they are here, and be able to leave work and enjoy their personal lives.

We also believe veterinarians should have the freedom to be veterinarians. You won’t be handed corporate protocols designed around revenue goals or told you need to hit a quota. We provide the team, equipment, mentorship, and support—you bring your own approach to practicing quality medicine.

Your primary location would be Pets in Harmony Veterinary Hospital in Harmony, PA, a new and quickly growing practice with a strong team and an exciting future. You’ll also have the benefit of being part of a privately owned group of veterinary hospitals.

Whether you’re an experienced veterinarian looking for a better work-life balance or a newer graduate looking for a supportive environment where you can develop your own style of practicing medicine, we’d love to talk with you.

Please submit resumes to brianfsilvis1973@gmail.com or stop by and check out our new facility.
